YouView started off as a silly idea from a little kid. Seriously. I had missed the old YouTube experience and wanted to relieve it how I remembered. That started a whole rabbit hole that led me to understand how web development and archival efforts work. Originally called YouView, I had at some point decided to rename the project YouVue for a reason that has since escaped me. I\'ve had many attempts at this video sharing site to the point that for this attempt I chose to revert the name back to YouView. In the modern day I see this as a better alternative to modern YouTube, although I would not consider this part of the \"YouTube Revival scene\". This is based off of a specific era of YouTube, but I would rather the website mature into something more original as time goes on. I\'m not going to simulate changes that YouTube had gone through. It should earn it\'s own character.

YouView is currently under active development, but currently runs on a customized video-sharing platform. YouView also utilizes Ruffle for flash-based content.
